Joyce Willadean Collum – Obituary

joyceJoyce Willadean Collum went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 8,
2015, at Brandermill Health Care Center in Richmond, Virginia.
Mrs. Collum was a long time resident of Florence, AL and very proud of it. Mrs. Collum was born November 4, 1924 in Randolph County, AL, daughter of James Wilner Pound
and Vesta Bagley Pound. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband (her “amazing man” and love of her life) J.C. Collum; brothers,
G.A. Pound, Kennon Pound and James E. Pound and sisters, Sarah N. Brazell
and Anita P. Poore.
Survivors include sons, Jay C. Collum (Ella) of Chattanooga, TN and T. Lance Collum (Marcia) of Upland, CA; daughters, Joyce C. Gumm (James) of Richmond, VA and Deborah L. Greger (Paul) of Montgomery, AL; grandsons, James W. Gumm, III of Washington, DC, Mark Collum (Sarah) of North Fort Myers, FL, Bryan Collum of Florence, AL, Nathaniel Collum of Atlanta, GA and Russell Poole of Columbus, MS;
granddaughters, Jenna Kurtze (Joe Lineman) of Richmond, VA, Michelle Morrison (Ben) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Lindsey Collum of Montgomery, AL; five great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Brandermill Woods and Crater Hospice for their caring support of their mother.
Family will receive guests at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence, AL. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Tri-Cities
Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
