Joyce Welch, 86, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born on October 1, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Newton Webb and Lillian Albright.
Joyce dedicated 31 years of her life to serving the community through her work at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library Blind and Physically Handicapped Department. Her commitment to providing accessibility and support to those in need was evident in her tireless efforts over the years. Joyce’s compassionate nature and dedication touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community she served.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Welch, in 2014, and her parents, Newton Webb and Lillian Albright. She is survived by her loving children, Kathy Welch and Alan Welch, and her sister, Joan Fly. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, colleagues, and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on May 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.
