Joyce Morton Crowe Profile Photo Joyce Lois Morton Crowe, 93, retired service manager for Sears, Roebuck and Company, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Macer and Eric Swann officiating.  The family will visit with friends Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.  Online condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Joyce was born on January 3, 1931 in Williamson County, TN to the late Earl Morton and the late Christine Barker Morton.  She graduated from Hillsboro High School and on January 3, 1948 she married Claude Ray Crowe and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2015.  She worked for Sears, Roebuck and Company from 1964 until she retired in 1992. She was a former member of the Maury County Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and served as President of Columbia Girls Softball League. Joyce was a member of Southgate church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Wanda and Glenn Nix of Columbia, Debbie and John Massey of Columbia, and Starling and Doug Swann of Murfreesboro; brother, John Morton of Columbia; six grandchildren, Shannon Nix Masterson (Lee) of Franklin, Shelley Nix Hinson (Dale) of Hohenwald, Ryan Massey (Angie) of Columbia, Corey Massey (Marisa) of Columbia, Eric Swann (Molly) of Murfreesboro, and Bailey Swann Rose (Will) of McMinnville; twelve great grandchildren, Colby Masterson (Angela), Parker Hardaway (Justin), Julianna Masterson, Corbin Davis (Jacob), Chandler Hinson, John Ryan Massey, Jayden Massey, Maclyn Massey, Tucker Massey, Addy Swann, Annsley Swann, and Everly Ray Rose; one great great grandchild, Birdie Rae Davis; two nieces, Amanda Cates and Kris Morton; three great nieces, Olivia Cates, Katie Morton and Allie Morton; one great nephew, John Morton II.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her nephew Richard Morton.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Massey, Corey Massey, Lee Masterson, Dale Hinson, Will Rose and Eric Swann.  Honorary pallbearers will be her special childhood friends Jim & Ivadell Algood, friends of Southgate church of Christ, friends of Wyndham Park, her special neighbor Maybelline Quattlebaum, special friend Diane Oliver.
