Joyce Lee Andrews, age 85, from Arab, passed away October 2, 2021. She was born in Madison County, AL on September 17, 1936, to the late Viola Swaim Smith and Erskine Smith
Mrs. Andrews was a member of Community Church of Arab for over 12 years. She worked at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge as the assistant housekeeping supervisor until her retirement. She enjoyed meeting her friends at Jack’s for breakfast and playing Skip-bo.
Mrs. Andrews leaves behind to celebrate her life; daughters, Sheila McCauley (Mike), Kay Stover (Ken), Fay Velez (Tom), Janet Abercrombie (Ken); 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Andrews is at last reunited with her beloved husband; Thomas C. Andrews; brother, Henry Smith; sister, Thelma Oleta Jones; and her parents
A visitation will be held on Tuesday – October 5, 2021 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel between the hours of 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., funeral service will follow with Pastor Keith Parker officiating. Eulogy will be given by her grandson, Jared Stewart.
Interment will follow services at Union Grove 1st Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrews grandsons will be escorting her to her final resting place
