Joyce Faye Freeman age 74 of Madison, passed away Thursday, 12, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital after a long illness, Mrs. Freeman was born March 23, 1940 in Limestone County, AL to Ernest M. Smith and Nannie Robison Smith.
Services will be Sunday, March 15, 2015 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Ricky Givens and Everett Conn officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens immediately after the service.
Mrs. Freeman was retired from The Boeing Company, and was a member of Capshaw Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nannie Smith; one brother, Ernest M. Smith, Jr.
Survived by her husband, Edward Freeman; one son, Keith Hovis and wife, Robbin; one daughter, Krista Givens and husband, Ricky; four grandchildren, Virginia Fae Hovis, Tara Givens, Trevor Givens and Connor Hovis; one great- granddaughter, Allie Shortridge; two sisters, Dorothy Smith Putman and husband, Nathan and Shirley Hovis Durham and husband, Jim; one sister-in-law, Pat Smith; one brother-in-law, Paul Freeman; several loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Givens, Tyrone Putman, Bryant Hovis, Shawn Smith, David Spencer and Paul Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be long time friends.
