Mrs. Joyce Faye Carroll ElmoreJoyce Faye Elmore, age 80, of the Morgan City community of Union Grove, AL, left this earthly home on July 6, 2024, surrounded by family.

Faye was born April 20, 1944, in Shelbyville, TN. She was the daughter of James Otis Carroll and Viola Weaver Carroll.

She was married to Luther B. (Buddy) Elmore.
Faye has been a resident of the Morgan City community since April 1973 when they moved here from Huntsville and has attended the Morgan City Church of God for many years.
In her early years, Faye worked at UAH and then as the assistant manager of the K-Mart appliance department. She left that job to stay home and take care of her children and husband.
She was a very kind and caring person. Many, many people have benefited from her kindness and generosity.

Faye is survived by:
Her children Carla (Roland) Cornwell, Greg (Marcia) Elmore, David (Pennie) Elmore, Jeff (Sylvia) Elmore, Chris Elmore and Kenzlie, who she raised as a daughter.
Grandchildren: Brandon, Ashley, Luke, Regan, Brittany, Keisha, Alex, Jacob, Connor, and Natalie.
Fourteen great-grandchildren.
Three Sisters: Wanda (Butch) Emmons, Betty (Dick) Wright, Sherry (Zack) McAnally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Otis Carroll and Viola Weaver Carroll.

Visitation will be at the Morgan City Church of God on Wednesday, July 10 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with the funeral immediately following at 1:00. Burial will be in Rescue Cemetery. Pastor Roland Cornwell will be officiating. Pallbearers escorting Faye to her final resting place in Rescue Cemetery will be Brandon McQueen, Alex Elmore, Jacob Elmore, Connor Elmore, Chad Towry and Todd Romines.
