Joyce Elaine Richardson – Obituary

Joyce Elaine Richardson left this world June 8, 2013, after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Lee and Irene Beavers; brothers, Jack and Bill Beavers; sister, Frankie Morrison; granddaughter, Tocia McGee; great-grandson, Everett Cabler; brother-in-law, James Richardson; and sister-in-law, Virgie Robertson.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years and soul mate, Dorris (PeeWee) Richardson; her beloved daughters, Donna (Brad) Watkins, Tammy (Tim) Cabler and Stephanie Richardson; her grandchildren who were her world, Jessica (Jason) Aderholt, Layla (Aaron) Littrell, Joshua Cabler and Cyle Cabler; her great-grandchildren who were the apples of her eye, Preston, Wesley and Leah Littrell and Norah Aderholt; her beloved friend and sister-in-law, Eloise Wright; several other brothers and sisters-in-law; her “boys,” Gene Richardson and Butch Beavers; her loyal dog, Chipper; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh Cabler, Cyle Cabler, Gene Richardson, Brad Watkins, Jason Aderholt, Aaron Littrell and Butch Beavers.
She was a beautiful woman, an amazing cook, a wonderful listener, a devoted wife, mother, friend and grandmother. She loved country music and the Atlanta Braves. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Greenhill Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at Hill Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may sign the online guest registry at greenhillfuneralhome.net.
