Mrs. Joyce W. TidmoreJoyce Cohen Beach Tidmore, 87, passed away December 18, 2024.
Born July 13, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the only child of David and Mitzi Cohen. At a young age,
Joyce moved to South Gate California with her mother where she grew up and married the love of her
life, Ralph Tidmore Jr on August 18, 1956.

While in California, she was very involved in her 2 sons’ activities as well as becoming a successful real
estate agent, and partnering with her husband in the construction, sales, and management of many real
estate projects. Together they worked hard and created a life that allowed them the chance to take a
cruise around the world that they were very proud of.

After her sons were grown, Joyce moved to Guntersville, Al, Ralph’s childhood hometown. She used to
say, “I have been all over the world, but Guntersville Lake is the most beautiful place.” There, the 2
continued building and managing their real estate holdings including the Lake Shopping Center. They
stayed happily married for 60 years before Ralph’s passing in 2016.

Joyce lived her life for her family. She was always referred to as one of the kindest people you’ve ever
met. She always thought about others, loving to shop but rarely getting anything for herself. She quietly
took care of everyone without ever asking for anything in return. Up until the end of her life, she always
wanted to make sure everyone else was comfortable. She was happiest when she had a full house of
family, sitting in her big comfy chair, watching everyone enjoy each other’s company.
She is survived by her Son Ernie’s Wife Laurinda Tidmore, Greg Tidmore(Karen), Grand Children
Matt(Morgan) , Meagan(John), Chelsie(Matt), Jake(Claire), Baelie(Connor), Sam. And 10 grand children
Ralph Tidmore, husband and Ernest Tidmore have passed

Special thanks to Shannon, Maranda and Kaitlan who provided 24 hour love and care for the last year.
The Funeral will be held at Carr Funeral Home on December 27 th with visitation starting at 10am, service
to follow at 11 am and grave side service at New Friendship Church to following the service the last year.
