Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Morrow Erhardt, age 80 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Ben Rosser officiating. A private committal will take place at the Ashland City Cemetery.
Mrs. Erhardt passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Clay County Nursing Home. She was born and raised in Clay County and was a 1963 graduate of Clay County High School. In 1975, she began working at Fort Rucker’s as a Histo-Pathology Technician until she retired in 2006. In her later life, she was her sister Saundra’s caretaker until her passing, and was helpful and loving with her family. Mrs. Erhardt’s hobbies including painting “still lives” on canvas, and baking, especially birthday cakes for her friends and family. She was strong willed and independent, very particular in what she wanted, but very giving and caring to others. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Mrs. Erhardt is survived by her niece, Roxanne Lamberth (Greg); her nephew, Gregg Morrow (Bethany), all of Lineville; her great-nieces and nephews: Samantha Lamberth, Logan Lamberth, Madeline Morrow, and Gabi Morrow; her brother-in-law, Ramon McCraw of Ashland; and her best friend, Dennie Moorehead (Bob) of Skipperville.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Huston and Lillie Mae Gaither Morrow; her brother, Jimmy Morrow; and her sister, Saundra McCraw.
Active Pallbearers will be Greg Lamberth, Logan Lamberth, Heath Moorehead, Ramon McCraw, and Eddie Branch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gregg Morrow and Bob Moorehead.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Per Mrs. Joyce Request, in lieu of flowers, she and her family would prefer donations be made to First Baptist Church in Ashland’s Shoebox Ministries: P.O.
