Joyce Ann Holden Walton, 82, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
A resident of Franklin, Ky for the past 4 years, she was born December 22, 1941 in Lauderdale County Alabama and lived most of her life in Rogersville, Alabama prior to her illness. She was a member of Oliver Church of Christ, a loving wife, mother, mamaw, great- mamaw, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Elvie Mae Holden, her brother Paul Holden, grandson David Ray-Alan Walton and grandson Ethan E. Neal.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Lennis B. Walton Jr, sons Lennis R. Walton(Amy) and David A. Walton(Stephanie), grandson Austin W. Walton(Rachel), granddaughter Makenzie Lynn Walton, great grandchildren Kylie Marie, Carter & Everett Walton, her sisters Dorthy Tays(Kenneth-deceased) and Janie Alexander(Joel), her beloved friend Enid Butler(Tommy) & many more cherished family members & friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 2pm-6pm & Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1 pm – 2pm at Oliver Church of Christ, Rogersville, Alabama. Her funeral service will be Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2pm with Brother David O’Connell officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Lennis R. Walton, David A. Walton, Austin W. Walton, Troy Tays, Harold Hamilton & Joel Alexander.
A very special thanks to Hospuras of Kentucky and her caregivers Susan Ferguson, Patty Neal & Nada Weidauer for taking such great care of her while living in KY. A memorial service will be held on November 24, 2024 at the home of Len & Amy Walton in Franklin, Ky from 2pm-4pm.
