Joyce A. Crockett Joyce A. Crockett departed this life at Ascension St. Thomas, Murfreesboro, Tennessee on February 23, 2021. She was the eldest of four children born to the late James A. Cunningham and Edna Virginia Farris Cunningham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia K. Cunningham. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a loyal member of Old Cowan Road Church of Christ in Winchester. She was a graduate of Townsend High School in Winchester and later retired from Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester where she worked in housekeeping. Joyce was always loving and caring to everyone and excelled at being a mother. She leaves to mourn her, four children, Aubrey (Vikki) Crockett Jr. of Winchester, Rosalind Crockett of Winchester, Quinton (Whitney) Crockett of Estill Springs, Brittany Crockett of Hendersonville; sister, Brenda Elliott of Winchester; brother, Albert W. (Mildred) Cunningham of Winchester; three grandchildren, Byron, Dynasty, Layana; four great grandchildren, Sage, Wyatt, Easton, Kamiah; two aunts, Eloise Cureth, Betty Ann Hill, both of North Chicago, IL; two uncles, George A. Cunningham of Winchester, Gene O. Cunningham of Nashville; numerous cousins and friends; and loving friends, David Bonner of Winchester and Phyllis Cunningham of Franklin. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester. The family requests that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
