Joy Drummond, 71, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Mrs. Drummond retired from the Huntsville City Schools System and Academy for Academics and Arts after 36 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Catherine Drummond.
Survivors include brother, Andy Drummond (Val); niece, Jennifer Drummond; nephew, David Drummond (Andrea); lifelong friend, Gloria Birmingham; and many friends and adoptive nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Garden.
