Joy Ann Potts Stanfill Joy Ann Potts Stanfill, age 71, resident of Primm Springs, passed away Friday, January 29 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Joy Ann will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Keith Baker and Brian Attkisson officiating. Burial will follow in the Potts Cemetery in Primm Springs. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.

Born January 4, 1950 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty Mai Potts and the wife of John Thomas Stanfill, whom she married on January 8, 1971. She was a log buyer for Stanfill Hardwood Lumber Company and retired after 39 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Santa Fe High School and of the Nazarene faith. She was a hard worker as a house cleaner, liked to fish, play cards with Rook being her favorite and she took care of many people.

In addition to her husband, Joy Ann is survived by her sister: Roberta Potts Stanley; her brother: Donald Potts; very special nephew: Holden Potts; the daughter she never had: Leilani Shouse; aunts: Ruthie Stanfill, Earline Morrow, Ester Kinney, Carolyn Potts, and Kathleen Mitchell; Uncle: Charlie Potts; nieces: Andrea Potts, Robin Johnson, Jade Upton; nephews: Tracy Potts, Stacy Potts and Jamie Potts; several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Steve Potts and infant Bobby Joe Potts.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Potts, Gilbert Prosser, Ricky Stanfill, Tim Stanfill, James Daniel Fox, Austin Stanfill and Holden Potts. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Morton, her nieces and nephews and the employees of Stanfill Hardwood.
