Josie Wesley Colburn, born January 25, 1930, the third of seven children, to Roy & Mary Jones Wesley in Anson, TX. an died Tuesday, November 10,2015 after an extended illness, She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Wayne Colburn, brothers, Adrian Wesley, Alton Wesley and sisters, Deveda Watson, Juanita Procter and Wanda Martin.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Starkey (David) of Muscle Shoals, Mary Phillips (Ronnie) of Littleton, CO. chosen daughters, Elaine Hudson, Pam Hudson of Sheffield and Patricia Terry of Muscle Shoals; Grandchildren, Eric (Seana), Nicole and Colin Starkey, Brooke and Brett Phillips. Great-grandsons, Sean and Seth Starkey. Brother Royce Wesley, many nieces and nephews.

Her education was from Breckenridge H.S. Texas and Larimore Business College. She retired as an insurance clerk at Reynolds to devote full-time to her bible-study ministry as a Jehovah’s Witness. Her mission in life was to spread the truth of everlasting life and to help all in need with her generosity and kindness. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She requested cremation and a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Hwy. 72 Tuscumbia on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or the charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mitchell Hollingsworth – Station 6 and Alacare Hospice.
