A visitation for Joshua Ty Hill, age 37 of West Blocton, will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. The family would prefer no flowers; instead, they would appreciate donations be made to help with Funeral expenses. Donations can be brought to 89076 Hwy 9 in Lineville.
Mr. Hill passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at UAB Medical West in Bessemer. He was born in Ashland, had lived in Talladega and Anniston, as well as 18 years in East Prairie, Missouri. He enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic, and was a talented artist, designing and personalizing his own tattoos. Mr. Hill was full of life and stood up for his family. He was always willing to help others and had a big heart. Josh knew what he wanted and was persistent in his endeavors.
Mr. Hill is survived by his Mother and Step-father, Tamika and Bryan Tubbs of West Blocton; his daughter, Lenzy Marie Housman of Missouri; one sister, Krystal Dawn Higgins of Missouri; one brother, Jonathan McRee (Savannah) of West Blocton; step-sister, Ashley Kruger of Michigan; his grandmother, Ilene Hill; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Lain “Timbo” Hill; His grandfathers, Frank Polk and Floyd Hill; grandmother, Alice A. Johnson; great-grandmother, Mary A. Samuels; and 2 great-uncles: Stanley L. and Bobby A. Atkisson.
