Joshua McQuade Lunn, age 36, a resident of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 4, 1988, in Maury County, Tennessee, Quade was the son of Sharon White Wells and the late Thomas Eugene Lunn. From a young age, he had a love for soccer, horseback riding, motocross, and building and racing lawnmowers. As he grew older, his passion evolved into racing cars, motorcycles – anything with wheels that he could get behind.
Known for his vibrant personality, Quade was truly the life of any gathering, often reminding others with his favorite motto, ‘YOLO’ (You Only Live Once). Whether he was rock climbing, racing at Jump and Run Derbies, spending time on the river, or driving back roads with his favorite music, Quade embraced life fully. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, who he proudly cherished above all else.
Quade was a devoted Christian who grew up in the church and held a steadfast faith in Christ. His belief in God’s care and guidance remained unwavering throughout his life.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Haley Faith Lunn, honorary daughter, Kaley Grace Starling, sisters, Jessica Fay Lunn (Matt Hill) Johnston, Courtney (Rob Thompson) Wells, grandmother, Fay Cummins Dodson, uncles, Tommy White, Kenny (Sherri) White, Heath (Lynn) Lunn, Ricky Hickman, aunt, Carrissa Lynn White, nephews, Cecil Ray Alexander Greer, Sam Austin Johnston, and niece, Skylinn Arlene Davis.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Andy Lunn, grandmother, Wanda Lunn, step father, Zane Wells, the mother of his child, Ashley Watkins, and grandfather, Tom White.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Cody Bolton, Josh Thomason, Kris Hickman, Victor Holloway, Brian Chris Stutts, and Paul Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will include, Joe Luffman, Stephen Lunn, Will Satterwhite, Terry Estis, Mitch Crowell, Joey Ledbetter, Justin Crumley, and Clint Watkins.
