Joshua Alan Sharp Profile Photo  Joshua Alan Sharp passed away on July 13, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN. He was born on August 1, 1980, in Jackson, TN to Judy Wilson and James Sharp. He led a life full of excitement and love, a life that was taken too soon.

 Graduating from Mesa Verde High School in 1999, Josh was known for his lively personality and adventurous spirit. He was the life of the party, always seeking out fun and thrills wherever he went. His love for daredevil activities showcased his fearless nature and zest for life. Josh had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He had a passion for fishing and golfing, finding solace in the serenity of nature. An avid music lover, Josh’s heart belonged to the band “Social Distortion,” and he could often be found enjoying their music. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of the Oakland A’s and the Tennessee Vols. His fondness for Starbucks espressos brought him comfort and delight, as well as shopping for new clothing.

Josh led a fulfilling life as a Journeyman Carpenter in Chattanooga, a job he cherished deeply. One might say his job was also a hobby. He enjoyed working with his colleagues and spent many hours working as a carpenter. Earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues was easy for him.

Joshua valued his relationships with family and friends above all else. He was a devoted son to his parents and cherished spending time with his loved ones, including Chloe Marlow, who he saw as his own daughter. His presence lit up any gathering, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, James Clifford Sharp and Judy Fry; girlfriend, Jennifer Looney, along with her daughter, Chloe Marlow; stepmother, Debbie Toney; stepbrothers, John Fry and Matthew Jones, along with his mother Tammy Coons; Uncle James Wilson (Vicky); Aunt Theresa Burton; and several cousins, including Anne Marie Castill, Amanda Driver, Jennifer Hale, Michael Wilson, and Amy Collins Hill.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Nicole Sharp; stepfather, Raymond “Buddy” Fry; and grandparents, Bella and Albert Sharp and Chester and Marie Wilson. .

Services to honor Joshua Alan Sharp’s memory will be held at at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m.

Joshua’s departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with this vibrant soul. May his legacy of joyfulness and fearlessness live on in the memories of those who loved him dearly.
