Josephine Rhodes, of Leighton, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the age of 83. Her visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.
Jo was a native of Colbert County and retired as the Chief Clerk of Probate Court at the Colbert County Courthouse. She was a member of the Leighton Church of Christ. Jo was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Mabel Posey; and her sister, Wylodean Underwood.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Eugene F. Rhodes; sons, Larry Eugene and Keith Franklin Rhodes; grandsons, Brandon and Samuel Rhodes; granddaughter, Leslie Rhodes Stanton; and three great-grandchildren.
