Josephine Mitchell, 89 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at her home.
Born Monday, July 5, 1926 in Ardmore, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Luther Upshaw Roland and the late Mae Wallace Roland. She was a member of Cash Point Baptist Church for 64 years and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She worked many years at Serbin and was a foster grandmother at Blanche School from 1991 until 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Silas C. Mitchell, brothers: Clifford Roland and Charles Roland, and a sister: Christine Hogan.
Surviving are daughters, Paulette Mitchell of Ardmore, TN and Linda (Jim) Keith of Ardmore, TN, brother, Ollie (Polly) Roland of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Julia Hargrove of Clarksville, TN and Rebecca Brock of Ardmore, TN, grandchildren: Scott Keith of Charlotte, NC, and Patrick Keith of Ardmore, TN. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama
