Josephine Marie Brewer, age 63 of Huntland, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cook County, Illinois on January 4, 1960, to the late Joseph and JoAnn F. (VanKampen) Garner Sr. Josephine was a dedicated homemaker and loved taking care of her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to yard sales and listening to music. She attended Cumberland Bible Chapel when she was able. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Garner Jr; niece, Jennifer Cunningham; nephew, Lee Ladd; and sister-in-law, Dawn Garner. Josephine is survived by her significant other, Mark Zimmer; children, Angel Mosley, Billy Hoback Jr, and Preston Ladd; grandchildren, Mark (Gabriel) Kirk, Paul Justice, Douglas Justice, Destiny Mosely, Anna Mosely, and Stacy Mosley Jr; siblings, Rose (Eddie) Hubbard, Paul Garner, Mark Garner, Anna (Tommy) Myers, John (Denise) Garner, Danny (Annette) Garner, Billy (Margaret Corbitt) Garner, Roger (Jeanette) Garner, and David (Brenda) Garner; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 5-8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Sargant officiating. Interment will be at O’Dear Cemetery.
