Funeral services for Josephine Alma Howell Dutton, 94, of Moulton will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, at noon at Parkway Funeral Home officiated by Reverend George Harmon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Josephine passed on March 19, 2013, at NHC in Moulton. She was born on August 5, 1918, in Lawrence County to William Alma Howell and Nellie McCleskey Howell. Shortly after her birth, her mother died and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Addie Crow Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reason Obed Dutton; daughter, Mary Frances Sparks, four brothers, Horace, Franklin, Buford and Winford Howell; and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Billy Ray Dutton (Carol) of Moulton and Charles Obed Dutton (Rose) of Conyers, Georgia; one sister, Syble Morgan of Moulton; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Josephine worked at Lawrence Corporation in Moulton for many years. She was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and friends and loved to cook, sew, quilt and garden.

Pallbearers will be Colton Dutton, Chris Dutton, Cody Smith, Charles Ray Dutton, David Smith and Don Smith.

The family wishes to thank NHC Healthcare staff and Hospice of the Valley for their dedication and care during this difficult time.
