Joseph Wayne Jordan, age 48, went to his eternal peace May 1, 2023 in Hartselle, AL.

He was born January 19, 1975, in Corpus Christi, TX and was very proud of his Texas roots. He was a heavy equipment operator who could run any piece of machinery put forth to him. His head was full of “worthless knowledge,” as he would say, and he loved to share tidbits of it with others.

His love for travel and new experiences led him to many places around the world in his lifetime.  He found his greatest solace and joy around the water, whether it be the great oceans, lakes or even the smallest of streams.  He had just finished an 8 month adventure of the east coast on his sailboat, The Grace, sailing her from Annapolis, MD to Jacksonville, FL.

Joe kept his circle small but if he counted you as friend and family, he’d have done anything for you. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Thomas, the man he called father, Red Thomas, and a daughter born with her wings whom he named MariJo.

He is survived by his son, David Jordan, 2 brothers, Thor Jordan and Michael Jordan, and by a host of other family.  He’s also survived by a man he called brother and friend, Michael Clay and by “His Grace”, whom he loved all this life and again in the next, as he often said.  Mind, body, heart, and soul.  For all he was and all he’d ever be.  VALHALLA!!
