Joseph Wade Foster, 90, Sheffield, passed away on Sunday November 17, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with Tomme Foster officiating.
Mr. Foster was born in Crawford, Mississippi, and a longtime resident of Colbert County. He was well known in his community as being the owner of Scottie’s Hamburgers in Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Annie Lorene Foster; and sons, Jimmy Foster, Carlton Foster, and Eric Perrin.
Mr. Foster is survived by his children, Sodonia Barnes (Shelby), Karen Foster Freeman, Joey Foster, and Lori Callaway (Don); sister, Aileen Foster; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friend, Linda Holt.
Pallbearers will be Shelby and Austin Barnes, Randy Foster, Glen Foster, Martin Rios, and Kyle Baker.
