Joseph Scott Hardin passed away Friday morning, May 31st, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashville, TN on December 8th, 1966 and was 57 years old.
Scott was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a teacher for over 32 years and was currently teaching at Franklin High School. Scott was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He was always making new friends, and would never hesitate to stop and help someone in need.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clay and Martha Judd McMahon Woods Hardin, Step-mother, Mary Delores Townsend Hardin, and mother-in-law, Theresa Armstrong
He is survived by,
Wife, Susan A. Hardin of Brentwood, Tennessee.
Daughter, Martha Tatum Hardin & Caleb Gibson of Austin, TX
Son, Joseph Fate & Elizabeth Hardin of Oxford, MS
Son, Sanders Wray Hardin of Brentwood, TN
Brother, Steve & Anissa Woods of Pulaski, TN
Brother-in-law, Dr. Mark & Jessica Armstrong of Martin, TN
Father-in-law, Dr. Tony W. Armstrong of Elkton, TN
Step Brother, Bobby Townsend of Pulaski, TN
Step Sister, Cathy & Barry Laxson of Pulaski, TN
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
