Joseph Raymond  TropiaJoseph Raymond Tropia of Spring Hill, Tennessee, formerly of New York City, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 16, 2019. He was born on December 4th, 1946, the son of the late Emily and Joseph Tropia.
On December 5th, 1982, Joseph married Mary A. Moyse at The Church of the Most Precious Blood in New York City. They went on to have three children, two boys and one girl.
Joseph followed in his Grandfather and Father’s multi-generational path as a Master Furniture Maker and Refinisher. He watches over in eternal care his true love and wife Mary, his sons Joseph Jr. and Steven, daughter Jennifer Martin and son-in-law Kevin, and precious grandson Trevor James (T.J.).
Joseph is survived by his father-in-law Laurence Moyse (Carole), and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Maffei and Janet Moyse. He is preceded in passing by his beloved mother-in-law Martha, brothers-in-law Larry, Robert and Rick, and nephew Michael.
He leaves behind his own most precious nieces, nephews, the loving extended Dumouchelle family, and his grand-kitten Oliver Marie and grand-puppy Lucy.
Joseph served in Vietnam, and remained a proud patriot throughout his life as a 100% Service-Connected Veteran.
The viewing will be 4-6:00PM Sunday, July21, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM Monday, July 22, 2019 at Catholic Church of the Nativity, 2793 Buckner Lane, Thompsons Station, TN 37179, Father Jerry Strange, Celebrant. Burial will take place at 1:00PM at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
