Joseph Michael Travis, age 45, of Athens, Alabama passed away August 28, 2021. He was born December 23,1975 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Harold Wayne Travis Sr. and Catherine Gwynn Claunch.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Grandmother Katie Mae Travis, Grandfather Dewey Claunch, Grandfather Ray Taz Burean Hayes and stepfather Terry Wayne Helton (Foo-Foo).
Left to cherish Joseph’s memories are his two daughters: Ashley Dawn Travis and Candice Brook Travis, brothers: Jason Daniel Travis, Harold Wayne Travis Jr. (Rhonda) and Kevin Dean Travis (Renee). He also leaves behind grandchildren: Aiden Coy Travis and Mazlynn Grace Nickins and a host of nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish his memory is his significant other Tammy Elder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1,2021 from 1pm until 3pm at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with chapel service following at 3:00pm. Brother Terry Bolden will be officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
