Joseph “Joe” John Pfieffer, 76, lifelong resident of Columbia died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Poplar Estates Retirement Center.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Morton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
Joe was born on January 5, 1948 to the late Joseph John Pfieffer and the late Mayon Derryberry Pfieffer Foster. He worked several years as a sales clerk for Woody’s Hardware and Amber Electric.
Survivors include his sister Teresa Pfieffer McClure of Columbia; three brothers, Jimmy (Carrie) Pfieffer of Chapel Hill, Robert Pfieffer of Nashville and Michael (Sisse) Pfieffer of Columbia; step sister, Anita Jo Foster; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father Joe Claiborne Foster and step sister, Pam Foster Brown.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Poplar Estates for their care and love of Joe.
