Joseph “Joe” Eugene Burns, 73, of Florence Passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his residence. Joe was retired from Wise after more than thirty years. He was a former member of the Florence Golf and Country and present member of the Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 2 – 3 pm at Greenview Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 3pm in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Mark Mayfield. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Anderson Burns and Louise Sanderson Burns and his brothers Charles F. and Jack L. Burns.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Sandra R. Burns; son, Joseph “Jay” Burns; daughters, Julie Burns Solley(Jimmy) and Leslie Burns Beasley; granddaughters, Kalee Beasley, Sydney, Allie and Blaire Solley; brother, Wayne Burns and many other very loved family members.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hopkins, Wayne Burns, Gary Stephens, Sam Quillen, Carl Parker, Larry Ricketts, Chuck Burns and Keith Burns.
