Joseph “Joe” Daniel Palmertree died January 19, 2024, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born March 21, 1952, in Panola County in the Orwood Community to Bert Palmertree and Kathleen Perry Palmertree. He spent his working life on Tugboats working the Mississippi River. He loved working with and breaking in horses.
Joe is survived by his two sons, Chris Palmertree and Brandon Palmertree and their mother, Brenda Palmertree; one granddaughter, Kendal Palmertree; two grandsons, Christopher, and Matthew Palmertree; one sister, Mary Emily Palmertree Dickey; one brother, Calvin Curtis Palmertree; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and two brothers, Bobby Ray Bowles, and Arthur Edward Palmertree.
Joe will be buried at Orwood Cemetery in Panola County.
