A Graveside service for Joseph Hugh Godwin, age 95, will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Gum Springs Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
He was born November 10, 1928 to Hugh Milton Godwin and Dee Dee Mosley Godwin in Alabama.
He is survived by his daughter, Alice Wharton (Wayne), son, Daniel Godwin, sister, Margaret Franklin, thirteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
He was a retired U.S, Army Sargent. He was an active member in his church. He volunteered at the Caring Place and always helped people.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
