Joseph Frank Hockmuth, Jr., 79, formerly of Fountain Hills, AR passed away in Huntsville on September 21, 2021.
He was born March 6, 1942, in Buffalo, NY to Joseph F. and Gertrude Hockmuth. When he was three years old, his parents put Joe in the back of a 1937 Chevy and moved to Los Angeles.
He graduated from Cal State with a degree in Physics and started a 40-year career in the aerospace industry, working for Lockheed and IRT. He moved to Arizona to take a position with Motorola/General Dynamics. He later earned a master’s degree in counseling and added a second career as a family counselor. He married Holly in 2000 and retired in 2005.
Joe is survived by his wife, Holly; son, Joey Hockmuth; daughter, Cathy McAlister; six grandchildren; and brother, Don Hockmuth.
