Joseph F. Alves III

Joseph F. Alves III, 80 years old, of Huntsville, Alabama peacefully passed away on March 6, 2025. Joe was born to Joseph and Julia Alves in Staten Island, New York.

He graduated as an Electrical Engineer from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy New York. Joe came to Huntsville, Alabama with his family in 1977, to work for Chrysler. He later worked in Missile Defense and on projects for the International Space Station for Boeing Company.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Helen, son Jeff Alves, daughter Laura Ford (Greg), grandson, Kevin Alves, and granddaughter, Emma Ford. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will occur on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. A reception will occur just prior to services at Valhalla.
