Joseph Ervin “Joey” Lee, III, 78, of the Hobbs Island community, passed away Thursday at his home.
Joey worked as a Quality Inspector for various contractors for many years and retired from the US Space Alliance after 25 years. He was in the National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He had many different hobbies and pursuits in his life. He loved and played all kinds of sports. He was a proud Tennessee Squire Member, an avid deer hunter, and a fanatical Alabama Fan.
He was preceded in death by father, Joseph Ervin Lee, Jr.; mother, Frances Henrietta Cobb Baker; step father, James Howard Baker; and sister, Gloria Francetta “Fran” Anderson.
Surviving are daughter, Carol Jo Lee; granddaughters, Cora Ann (Bryce) Perry and Carlee Jo Grace Patterson; brother, Randy (Martha) Baker, brother-in-law, William “Bill” Anderson; and niece, Melisia Lea Anderson.
A private graveside service will be held at Baker Cemetery.
