Joseph Eric Sanders, 43, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, August 15th, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Sanders was born on April 15th, 1978, to Cecil Sanders and Linda Cottles Sanders.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his daughter Reagan Sanders; son Andrew Sanders; parents Cecil Sanders and Linda Sanders; sister Lori Hicks (Daryl); brother Cecil Alan Sanders (Pam); sister-in-law Tina Sanders; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his brother Jeff Sanders.
The funeral service for Mr. Sanders will be Thursday, August 19th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with C. W. Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers for Mr. Sanders are Matthew Sanders, Jason Haggard, Billy Amerson, Michael Jones, and Nick Griffin. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery.
