Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Dewayne Burrow, Sr., age 73, will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 PM until 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Burrow, a Lutheran and retired U.S. Army veteran, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Murley Moore.
Mr. Burrow is survived by two daughters, Altheia Burrow of Jackson and Carrie Lee Long of MO; a son, Joseph D. Burrow, Jr. of TX; a sister, Betty Burrow Kauer of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren, Robert Burrow, Eduardo Ferrera, Maria Ferrera, Alejandra Cordova, Juan Cerrato, Carrie Lee Long Jr., Jacob Long, Amber Burrow, Samantha Burrow, Brianna Burrow and Layla Burrow; and seven great grandchildren, Bailey Burrow, Ah’mir Burrow, Iviona Ferrera, Jayden Gomez, Karen Fuller, Tyler Fuller Jr. and Kaysen Brown.
