Jorris Raymon Hennessee Mr. Jorris Raymon “Josh” Hennessee age 87 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, January 29, 2021, at his residence. He was born March 18, 1933, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired self-employed nurseryman with Hennessee Brothers Nursery, a musician, served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Hennessee was preceded in death by parents George F. and Mallie Green Hennessee, sisters Edna Taylor, Goldie Taylor, Nora Bella Hennessee, Ola Lee Hennessee, and Juanita Byars, and brother Winfree Hennessee.

 

Survivors include his wife Nellie Jones Hennessee, brother Morris Hennessee, sisters-in-law Rosie (Charlie) Pack, Brenda (Jimmy) Warren, Shirley (Bobby) Farris, Kathy (Tim) Morton, and Marie Neal, and brother-in-law Billy (Ruth) Jones. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

 

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 02, 2021 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Sammy Lee will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Military grave rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 5064 Honor Guard. The Hennessee Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Social distancing and wearing facial masks are strongly encouraged. Please, no food at the funeral home.
