Jorge “Fidel” Alvarado, 44, of Booneville passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and the Operation Inherit Resolve, he loved the military and the United States. He was known as Alvi to his military brothers and sisters. Jorge was an artist, loved camping, fishing, grilling and the UFC.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Saint James Catholic Church in Tupelo with Father Tim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Alishia Alvarado; his sons, Colin Thomas (Miranda), Dominic Foster Alvarado, Anthony Alvarado (Kaylin) and Tony Childers; his daughter, Adriani Alvarado; his parents, Jorge Rene Alvarado and Marina Alvarado; his brother, Jorge Lenin Alvarado (Leona); his half-brother, Jorge Samuel Alvarado; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Alvarado and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Catalina Lopez-Garcia, Miguel Angel Lopez-Martinez and Clarrisa Gonzalez; his brother, Jorge David Alvarado Jr. and Jorge Ernesto Alvarado and his uncle/Godfather, Jaime Espinoza.
