 Jonathan Warren Nichols, 44, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. He was born June 7, 1979 in Sheffield, AL to Tammy Wooldridge and John Nichols. He was a 1998 graduate and played football at Mantachie High School. He worked many years as a lineman for Atlantic Engineering Group and was an avid Auburn Tigers fan. Jonathan also loved to fish and hunt and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Peppertown.
Funeral services will be at 11am on Friday May 3, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Raines officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm – 8pm on Thursday May 2, at Senter Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed on the Senter Funeral Directors face book page for those who are unable to attend the service.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Wooldridge, father, John Nichols, daughters, Skyler (Kobi) Curry, and Laklyn Nichols, son, Lawson Nichols, and his children’s mother, Amy Glenn, brothers, Josh (Kristi) Wooldridge, Jonah (Tori) Wooldridge, and John Auston Nichols, sisters, Hannah Wooldridge, and Haley Nichols, nieces, Harley Grace Holt, Macie Wooldridge, Rosaleigh Floyd, and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Leigh Nichols, father, Donnie Wooldridge, grandparents, Doris and Bobby Barber, and Warren and Ruth Nichols.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Waddle, Kobi Curry, Chris Orsborn, Josh Reese, Donny Bartlebaugh, and Adam Spradling. Honorary pallbearer will be Coach Mike Hill.
