Jon Tyler & Layla Anne Erwin 4 year old twins, were born together May 13, 2013 to their loving parents, Amanda Robbins and Jonathan Erwin at The North Mississippi Women’s Hospital in Tupelo. Jon Tyler & Layla departed this life together Sunday afternoon October 29, 2017 as the result of a tragic fire that destroyed their family home in Tippah County.
Joint Funeral Services cherishing their precious lives will be at 2 PM Thursday, November 2 at Lowry United Methodist Church with church pastor and friend, Bro. Kenneth Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery near Ripley. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
While their life was short, everyone who knew them…loved them. Layla loved to dance and JT was all boy. Watching cartoons, eating their favorite foods and “wrestling” with their dad were favorite pasttimes. The twins brought much love and joy to Amanda, Jonathan and all those that they came in contact with.
Visitation will continue today at Lowry United Methodist Church until service time.
JT and Layla leave behind many loving family members that include their paternal grandparents, Danny and Virginia Erwin of Ripley, great grandmother, Mattie Starling of New Albany, great grandfather, Donnie Tidwell of Corinth, three aunts, Bobbie Smith, Ginger Kilcrease (Sedric) and Jamaka Sexton, two uncles, Tim and Jason Robbins.Jon Tyler and Layla were preceded in death by their grandmother, Jo Robbins.
