Jo’Miya Ann Wilson, age 20, of Huntsville Alabama passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2024. She was born on March 7, 2004, in Lansing, Michigan. Jo’Miya was the beloved daughter of Ann Hutchinson and Joel Wilson, Jr. A bright light in the lives of everyone she touched, she was known for her infectious laughter, smile, thoughtful words, boundless creativity, and unwavering kindness.
Jo’Miya graduated from Grissom High School in 2022, where she excelled academically and was actively involved in track and field. She went on to pursue a degree in Business Administration at Alabama A&M University she discovered her passion for entrepreneurship and wanted to open her own real estate company.
Beyond her commitment to excellence, her compassion for others was evident in everything she did, and she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and loved.
Jo’Miya is survived by her parents, Ann and Joel, Jr.; older brothers: Joel Wilson III and Ronald Morgan; grandfather, Joel Wilson, Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Jo’Miya’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and hope that will continue to inspire future generations.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Maurice Wright officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
