On January 15, 2025, Johnny Wilks, known by many as Grandaddy, of Arab passed away at his residence with all his grandkids by his side.
Johnny was born March 20, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Avis Wilks and his brothers Leon, Wendell, and Jerry Wilks.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Virginia Wilks, two children, Jason and Cristi Wilks, two grandsons, Tyler and Clint Wilks, and two granddaughters, Abbilea Hyatt and Rae Rae Wilks.
Johnny was laid to rest at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Military Honors.
Johnny was a member of the VFW post 6226 of Arab. In lieu of flowers, he requested donations to a Veterans Charity of your choice.
