Johnny Cole Profile Photo  Johnny Wayne Cole, 56, of Town Creek, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Keller Landing in Tuscumbia. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the funeral home with Bro. R.C. Borden officiating. Burial will be at Old Liberty Cemetery.

Born on May 11, 1968 to the late James Jerry “Bud” and Shirley Eades Cole, Johnny was a 1986 graduate of Speake High School. He was a longtime member of Cottontown Missionary Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Johnny was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed spending time with his four grandsons. He also enjoyed painting and sketching and was a fan of John Wayne.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Lana Bradford Cole; children, Slade (Lesley) Cole, and Maci (Jake) Stowe; grandsons, Knox Cole, Asher Cole, Finn Cole, and Zander Stowe; sisters, Joyce (Steve) Long, Judy (Lynn) Smith, and Sherlene Cole; brothers, Russell (Melba) Eades, James (Melia) Cole, and David (Krystal) Cole; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores Swindle; nephew, Daniel Smith; and father-in-law, John Bradford.

Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny’s grandsons.

The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice, and the staff at Keller Landing Nursing Home, especially Ashley and Morgan.
