Johnny Taft Jones

Johnny Taft Jones, age 72 of Haleyville, entered into rest Sunday, March 16, 2025 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1952 in Haleyville, Alabama to O’neal and Patricia Jones. Johnny attended Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville. In his spare time, he enjoyed getting outdoors and going hunting. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 22 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain Home Cemetery in Bear Creek, Alabama. Matthew Ballantine will officiate. Johnny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah Jones; daughter, Kristi (John) Mattson; grandchildren, Laura Lunsford, Katelyn Mattson, Blake (Jamie) Mattson, great-grandchild, Caroline Mattson; brother, Wilburn (Mariana) Jones; sister, Connie Dooley; uncle and aunt, Denvil and Frances Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, O’neal and Patricia Jones.
