It is with great sadness that the family of Johnny Max Moore, 68 of Athens, announces his passing on October 14th, 2024.
Johnny was born in Athens on January 4th, 1956, to John Hayse and Louise Moore. He was a larger-than-life man who will be sadly missed and forever remembered by many. He spent many days working and sometimes playing in his machine shop in the Blackburn community before his retirement to riding his Kubota UTV. Hardy; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Barbara (Pookie) and Jimmy Moore; father-in-law Carlos Hardy; and brothers-in-law Bill Laxson and Kenneth Clinard.
A graveside service for Mr. Moore will be Thursday, October 17th, 2024, at 1:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery, with Richard Clinard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am – 12:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
