Johnny Max Kuykendall, better known as “Johnny Mac”, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home. Johnny Mac was born on August 8, 1941 to the late John Daniel & Vera Spears Kuykendall in Fort Payne.
He was a retired truck driver for Vulcraft and a member of Fort Payne Masonic Lodge #437. He was a veteran of the Alabama Army National Guard.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Baker and nephew, Ron Sparks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Whitten Kuykendall; children, Bobby (Stephanie) Kuykendall, Andrea (Chris) Smith and Wil Kuykendall; grandchildren, Jeremy Kuykendall, Blane Kuykendall, Haven Smith, and Kenlea Smith; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, David “Dabo” Kuykendall; parents; sister, Francis Wooten; and granddaughter, Jessica Kuykendall.
