Johnny Junior Beasley, 78, of Florence, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Macedonia Church of Christ. A celebration of life will begin immediately following.
Johnny was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Chisholm Hills Church of Christ, the American Legion, and the Central Heights Neighborhood Watch. He served as an elder at Florence Boulevard Church of Christ and Macedonia Church of Christ. Johnny was a loving Granddaddy, and his goal in life was to go to Heaven and take as many as possible with him. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Alvin Beasley and Helen and Richard Crider; sisters, Dezzie Burger and Sue Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Beasley; children, Stephanie Owens (David) and Heather Hammond (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Jude Owens, Eli Owens, Ari Owens, and Roxie Hipps (daughter of very special niece, Margaret Hipps) ; sisters, Shirley Parrish, Mildred Hipps, Brenda Beasley, and Betty Kennamore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
