Johnnie Vernon Hall, age 80, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Hall proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard during the Korean War and many years afterwards. He was a sergeant, a member of the 82nd Airborne, 1st Calvary, V-team, made 13 jumps and was a rifleman. He worked many years as a plumber in the Russellville area.
The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Vernon Cummings. Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville, with full military honors.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Page, parents, W.E. and Ida Hall, and brother, Ray Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Frances Vernell (Searcey) Hall; sons, Johnny Hall (wife, Terri), Ernest Lee Hall, and Vernon Ray Hall; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Selvagene Dobbs (husband, Windom); and several nieces and nephews.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
