Johnnie Stephen Kelley – Obituary

JohnnieJohnnie Stephen Kelley, 59, of Center Star suddenly departed this life June 19, 2013 in Ghana, Africa while living his dream.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be Monday, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Steve had earned both the rank of Eagle Scout and the God and Country award while a Boy Scout. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother Jimmie D. Kelley; his children Nikki Kelley Tapp (Jimbo), Mandy Kelley Starks (Jeremy), and Chandler Kelley; sister Debbie O’Brien; grandchildren Macayla, Austin, Taylor Jo, Thorne, Abby and Brie; his special love Jan Lee Kelley, and his best friend since childhood Barry White.

He was preceded in death by his father John E. Kelley and grandparents Hiram and Louise Holden.

Steve was loved by all who knew him and his family was the light in his eyes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Barry White, Jimbo Tapp, Jeremy Starks, Chris Moses, Lee Brannan, Dusty Springer, Joel Alexander, and Mike White.
