Johnnie Randolph Eckstein, 69, of Elkmont , Alabama passed away August 17, 2021 at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville, AL. He was born on August 27, 1951 in Limestone County, Alabama to Charlie Edgar Eckstein and Eva Marie Watkins Eckstein.
Johnnie is survived by his wife, Janice Eckstein of Elkmont, AL; sons, John Michael Eckstein and Jason Matthew Eckstein both of Elkmont, AL; sisters, Patricia Eckstein Smith of Athens, Linda Dugger of Ardmore, and Angela DuBois of Elkmont; special great niece Lucy Hatchett and great nephew Sam Hatchett both of Athens.
Johnnie was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed his friends, loved Alabama football and Nascar racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy Shane Eckstein; and brothers, Ray and Ricky Eckstein.
The family will receive friends at Ardmore chapel funeral Home on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Brent Logan and Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Interment will be at Gatlin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Barnes, Johnny Reyer, Deverl Nave, Rodney Biggerstaff, Clint Hatchett and Jacob Hatchett. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Shannon, Brandon Nash, and Edward Coyle.
