Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Maxine Pendergrass Anderson, age 84, are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2016 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Dan Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson passed away late Friday at her home. She was born August 27, 1931 in Henderson County to the late William Guy and Jewell Mayo Pendergrass. She was retired from DHS and a member of Juno Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Odean Anderson, her brother, Jimmy Pendergrass, and her sister, Elnora Cagle. Survivors include her son, Alan Anderson of Lexington; her daughter, Kay Anderson Jackson of Lexington; her grandson, with whom she shared a close bond, Ty Dyer; three special relatives, Murel Bush, Terry Long, and Johnny Utley; and a special caregiver, Christy Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to West TN Children’s Home or St. Jude.
